FROM THE OFFICE:

Our First Day of School will be: Thursday, August 22. This will be a full day of school: 8:15 am- 3:30 pm. We will also be having our first mass on this day. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Students must have their mass attire on this day.

 

Athletic Deparment- Students 5-8th grade interested in playing girls volleyball, boys soccer, or girls and boys cross country need to contact chelseaday@dogrschools.org as soon as possible as the seasons are under way.

LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED- Parent volunteers are needed for the following days and time (subject to change).

Wednesdays: 11:00 – 11:30

12:05 -12:35

12:35 – 1:05

Thursdays:      8:45 – 9:15

LITURGICAL CHOIR RETURNS- Students in grades 3rd- 8th are invited to join the Corpus Christi Music Ministry Choir. We practice Wednesday mornings from 7:30 am – 8:00 am followed by Mass at 8:45 am. Our first Mass will be on

Thursday, August 22, at 10:00 am- any student interested in joining the Liturgical choir is invited to report to the Chapel at 9:30 am and then join in giving praise through their voices at Mass at 10:00 am. More details regarding Liturgical Choir will be given following the first Mass.

 

BOOK COLLECTION- Donate used books to raise funds for Corpus Christi! Drop books off at the school office during our summer hours. All genres and age groups needed! Book sale will take place in March 2020. More info will be sent home as we get closer to this event.  

 

CRAFT SALE- November 16, 2019 from 9am – 4pm!!

St.Francis De Sales-

Registration for Sacrament Preparation & Faith Formation Program

While Corpus Christi offers excellent ongoing foundational formation and even support during sacrament preparation years, children and youth prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation through the parish at St. Francis.  If your child is an upcoming second grader (or older) and would like to prepare for their first celebration of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist or if your child is an upcoming eighth grader and would like to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, please register them for the preparation process using the forms below.

 

New Family Program

Special Speaker on Youth Ministry

Save the date!  Monica Harness, sponsored by Life Teen, is coming to St. Francis de Sales to offer training for our parish catechists and speak to parents Sunday, September 15, 2019.  She will be touching on teen culture and how we as a community, especially multicultural community, can help minister to them and help us let them minister to us.  More details will be available soon.

 

Our lady of the Lake-

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary,-Thursday, August 15

There will be Masses for this holy day of obligation at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at OLL. Everyone is also invited to pray the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary thirty minutes before each Mass.

Parish Picnic- Sunday, August 18

Everyone is invited to stay after the 11 a.m. Mass for food, fun, and fellowship with your parish family. There will be live music and games for the whole family. Please bring your own chairs and blankets!

Protecting God’s Children-Thursday, September 5

This training is required for all parish and school volunteers who work with children and youth. It will take place from 6-9 p.m. at OLL. Only fifty spots are available. Register at virtusonline.org.

Dr. Ray Guarendi: The Logic of Being Catholic-Tuesday, September 17

The LANE Leadership Series will welcome nationally-known psychologist, author, speaker, and radio and television host Dr. Ray Guarendi for a speaking event at OLL. This event is free and open to the public. Learn more at www.lanecatholic.org/leadership-series.

Fall LANE Classes for Adults-Register Online Today!

Reinvigorate your faith and equip yourself for evangelization with a LANE class this fall! Seven-week classes begin the week of September 16. One-night LANE Labs will take place on September 9 and November 13. Topics include the Church’s social teaching, the saints, marriage and family, Catholic identity, and the Bible.
