Prayer Wall – 18th Anniversary of 9/11

Prayer Wall - 18th Anniversary of 9/11

As a faith-based community, we commemorate the eighteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon, it is a time for remembrance.

We recall those who were most directly affected by this tragedy—those who died, were injured or lost loved ones.  In a special way we recall the selfless first responders—firefighters, police, chaplains, emergency workers, and other brave persons—who risked, and many times lost, their lives in their courageous efforts to save others.

Students have gathered in our Chapel for Mass, then proceeded to the flag pole and watched as our countries greatest symbol was lowered to half-staff, and concluded with the “Hail Mary.”  Displayed in A Wing is our Prayer Wall – remembering all involved from September 11, 2001.
