Matthew Asselin

Matthew graduated from CCCS in 2014 and attended high school at Holland Christian, allowing him to continue his faith based education.  Favorite subjects included biology and astronomy and he also participated in varsity swimming, golf, and band.  Matthew continued his faith journey as a Youth Group leader at Our Lady of the Lake.

Matthew’s future plans are to attend Grand Rapids Community College and has earned two scholarships toward his education.

In his reflections on Corpus Christi, Matthew shared this.  “CCCS prepared me very well for high school because it was academically challenging and the group projects helped me learn to work well with others, but also to work hard independently.  CCCS also helped me to be strong in my faith, to appreciate Mass, and to celebrate my faith with my peers. It’s helped me to have a strong Catholic identity, which was important as I went to a non-Catholic Christian school for high school.  CCCS helped me to always stand up for my faith and what I believe in.”
