Reflex Math . . . open and available as of Friday, November 8
Hello Parents,I am happy to be able to inform you that I applied for and received an Educator Reflex Grant. Reflex is a site that uses a game format to engage children in practicing their math facts. Using this program has proven fluency; effortless recall of facts with accuracy and confidence. I was lucky enough to use the program a few years ago and was delighted by the progress my students made in basic computation.
The site www.reflexmath.com or the app, Reflex Student, if you use a tablet, provides practice in basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with results that are stunning. The site progresses students at their own pace. So, it is very important only your 2nd grader uses this program. Students are expected to use the app three times each week. Each time they log-in their goal is to get a green light, which indicates they are focusing and demonstrating accuracy in their practice. Getting the green light is the only way they earn points which can be used to change the looks of their avitar.
Your Second Grader now has an account at Reflex that can be used at home on your computers, cell phones and tablets as well as at school. In your child’s Friday Folder you will find information regarding how to log-in and use the program.
I am excited to expose your children to this wonderful tool. Be sure to include Reflex progress in your evening discussions. 🙂
