We had a great time at Post Family Farm’s pumpkin patch. The children took a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin, listened to the story of a pumpkin, rode the pumpkin train, visited the animals, slid down the big slide, and ate a yummy donut. Thank you to the parents and grandparents that were able to accompany us.

This week we did some fun activities to go with our fingerplay “5 Little Pumpkins.” The children could make a 5 little pumpkin picture using craft sticks for the gate and putting pumpkin stickers on the gate. They also were given clothespins and craft sticks to make a gate for 5 candy pumpkins to sit on. We also put 5 mini pumpkins in the block area for them to make a gate for the pumpkins. The children also practiced their pencil grip by drawing a picture of their favorite thing from the pumpkin patch.

November 1 we will celebrate Harvest time and Special Persons Day. Please let me know if your child will have a special person so that we can plan accordingly. The special person should arrive at 9:45 a.m. We will have snack together, play a BINGO game, paint a pumpkin, play some games. Pick up time will be at 11:15 a.m. as usual (unless your child stays for Spanish Immersion).

Again, email or send in the name of the special person that will be attending.

Have a great weekend!
