June, 2018 Dear Kindergarten Parents, Welcome to Kindergarten! We look forward to our new Kindergarten classes this fall and getting to know your child. We hope that your child is excited as well. As your child’s teachers, our goal is to work with you to make the transition to Kindergarten as easy as possible. To help with this transition, your child will participate in Kindergarten Welcome Camp at Corpus Christi Catholic School on Tuesday, August 21 and Wednesday, August 22, from 8:30-11:30 AM. This is an opportunity for your child to meet us, his or her classmates, and participate in a variety of fun activities with the help of Outdoor Discovery Center. This time also allows your child to become comfortable with our classroom and school building while learning daily routines. Your child may wear shorts and comfortable shoes for the camp (no flip flops) as we will be having some outdoor activities. We will have our first full day of Kindergarten on Thursday, August 23. When your child comes to Kindergarten Welcome Camp, please have him/her bring a water bottle with his/her name on it. We will provide a snack during the camp. Please have your child bring in a 4 x 6 family picture, for us to display in our classroom. It helps to make your child feel comfortable when he/she can see a picture of you at times when they are missing you at the beginning of the school year. It also allows us to learn about our families and each other. If you have any questions or concerns during the summer, please contact us through our school email: nancypatrick@dogrschools.org or lourdeshernandez@dogrschools.org We look forward to this journey of Kindergarten with you and your child. Sincerely, Nancy Patrick & Lourdes Hernández Junio, 2018 Estimados Padres de...
