This week in preschool we continued to practice our barnyard stories: Barnyard Song and Going to Sleep on the Farm. The children also practiced their cutting by snipping straws and then stringing them on yarn to make necklaces. The children also used straws to practice sequencing smallest to longest. The older children also measured the straws with a ruler and identified the corresponding number. The children did some pre-writing by tracing circles and the letter Q. We also talked about the sound Q makes and identified some words that begin with that sound.
