December 13 News

Brrrr! The cold winter weather was back this week. We do not go outside if the “feels like” temperature is below 10 degrees. Otherwise, remember to send in snow pants, warm coat, boots, hat, and mittens

This week in preschool, we have continued to practice for the Christmas program, which is Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church. Please have your child there by 6:15 p.m. The preschool performs first so bring your child to us by the chapel doors (at the back of the lobby). You can find a place to sit. After your child performs, please come forward to get your child where they will sit with you for the remainder of the program. Also, thank you for your cookie donations- please return the filled container to school on Monday or Tuesday.

We continued to explore shapes by tracing squares and making triangles with popsicle sticks and their bodies. The children also learned about the letter F and the sound it makes. We also practiced counting with one to one correspondence by putting sparkly pom poms on a Christmas tree. The children are working on a “top-secret” project this week too.  In the Atrium, we are continuing to prepare for Christmas by listening to the prophecies of Isaiah- the Prophecy of the Light and the Prophecy of the Names. More children were able to hear of the Annunciation on Mary.

There will be NO SCHOOL December 23- January 3 for Christmas Break.
