Third Grade December 13th

Dear Parents,

This Tuesday is our Christmas Program at St. Francis De Sales. Students need to be at the church by 6 pm. They should be wearing their Sunday best, no jeans or T-shirts. Wednesday, third grade will be doing the readings at Mass, please feel free to join us. Friday, we will have our class Christmas party beginning at 2:00, you are welcome to join us. Religion: This week we will follow up on our lesson from the Children’s Advocacy Center on Kids have Rights. We will also read the story of Jesus’ birth.

Language Arts: This week, we will conclude our novel Winter According to Humphrey. This is a realistic fiction story about a class hamster and what he notices as the students prepare for their Winter Wonderland Program. We will also continue learning cursive letters this week and do some fun Christmas writing activities.

Spelling: There will be no spelling this week.

Math: We will be doing some fun Christmas math activities this week. Please continue to practice math facts for 5-10 minutes a day.

Science: We will conclude our study of how plants grow and change, by looking at the life cycles of some plants.

Library: We will not have library class this week, however, Ms. Garcia is asking for all library books to be turned in before the break.
