Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

We hope you are enjoying the summer with your family. Since school days are not too far away, we need to let you know about upcoming events and the starting dates and times of attendance for your pre-schooler.

Corpus Christi Ice Cream Social

Corpus Christi Catholic School will be hosting an ice cream social for all enrolled families on Wednesday, August 21- 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come get a glimpse of the preschool rooms and meet the staff and other families.

Informational Meeting and Orientation

Our policy is to make the transition from home to school as smooth as possible for both child and parents, so once again we will be implementing a gradual intake plan, which has worked successfully for all in the past.

The first preschool session will be a one-hour orientation/informational meeting for parents and your preschooler. The children will have an opportunity to explore some classroom materials while we speak with parents regarding preschool policies and procedures. We will also be checking each child’s paperwork to ensure completion. We are expecting 100% attendance; however, please notify me if you are unable to attend.

Please refer to the list on the back for the required paperwork that is due.

Preschool classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday, Sept. 4 depending on which class your child is enrolled in.

Two day (three-year-old) preschool classes will begin September 3; however, as part of our gradual intake plan, half of the class will attend on Tuesday, September 3 and the other half on Thursday, September 5. The children will begin the regular two day schedule the following week (September 10-full class).

We hope that this plan will help ease the separation anxiety experienced by some children and parents!!

P.S. – There are no required school supplies for preschool; however, we will happily accept the following donations:

-glue sticks/bottles, Kleenex, paper towels, Lysol wipes, Ziploc bags (any size), washable markers, dry erase markers

*Returning students are not required to submit new paperwork for these forms but will be asked to review and update previous forms.

If an item is checked, we already have the completed forms. If you are missing any paperwork, the forms will be available at the ice cream social and at orientation.
