The “Swanky Report” 9.27.19

Can you believe it’s already the end of September?! This month has flown by so fast and our students have already shown so much progress this first month! We are in a routine now each day that we come to school, we’re following directions and sharing so well with our friends throughout the day!

We have filled THREE jars already and are only 2 jars away from a BIG TREAT! YAY!!!

This Week: 

Preschool: 

We learned about the letter “Bb,” the number 2 and the color blue! “B” is for Bee (bzzz, bzzz) and “B” is for Butterfly! We also had our first fire drill of the year and our students did so well lining up at the door and going outside! They stayed so quiet!

STREAM:

We learned about the sun and did an experiment to see what happens when we leave toys out in the sun on construction paper!

Did you know:

• The sun is a star, but it’s not the biggest star in our galaxy?
• That 100 Earths can fit inside the Sun?

Reminders:

1. The signup list for our Holiday Parties was sent out! If you haven’t already, make sure you take a look at it and see if there’s anything you’d like to donate to this party! As a reminder, we do have some allergies in our classroom so if you provide any snacks, please no nuts or cinnamon! =)
2. Please remember to bring a water bottle each day to school!
3. The cold weather is approaching and we’re in the odd time of the year when it’s chilly in the mornings and hot in the afternoons. Please bring a light sweater or jacket for your students to keep in their locker.
